Cozumel Diving
Dive Cozumel’s Stunning Reefs
The sunny island of Cozumel is famous for its great walls, protected reefs, and some of the fastest drift dives in the world. Just 10 km (6 miles) from Playa del Carmen, the island has become a top scuba diving destination.

Cozumel offers everything a diver could want—warm water, excellent visibility, amazing reef formations, vibrant marine life, and fun currents. Its lush walls and high-voltage drifts attract divers from around the globe. The reefs are part of the Mesoamerican Reef system and protected by Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park.

Although Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease has affected parts of the reef, it remains a colorful, thriving environment, home to 26 coral species and more than 500 fish species. Cozumel is perfect for all levels, from beginners to advanced divers seeking deep walls and crystal-clear waters.
